🕊 BASICS 🕊 NAME USED ☆ Elena Gilbert SERIES ☆ The Vampire Diaries CANON POINT ☆ Post-Season 3 🕊 FIRST IMPRESSIONS 🕊 VISUAL ☆ Elena is an 18 year old Caucasian female with 5'7" with long, dark brown hair and eyes. Her hair is often kept down and untouched, but during formal events, she may pin it back or curl it to be a little bit fancier. FASHION ☆ In her day-to-day, Elena dresses like the girl next door, though she is adopting more young adult fashion into her wardrobe over time. Elena tends to dress practical to her situation (so no heels if she's going to be on the move), and tends to prefer darker colors. Elena may accessorize her outfits with one or two items like a necklace, but she tends to keep it fairly modest. Likewise, either the exception of formal events that might require something a little more glam, Elena keeps her makeup on the nude and minimal end to the point it's barely noticeable most of the time. DEMEANOR ☆ Characters are likely going to notice that Elena is incredibly warm and friendly. She tends to get a little uncomfortable with folks going out of their way for her sake, but she won't hesitate to lend a hand when she senses someone could use it. Elena is fairly passionate and strong in her opinions, which leads her to be both stubborn and brave beyond reason. She believes there's good in everyone no matter what, and is willing to fight for that good. In short, she's easy to make friends with, and not easily frightened or fooled by a bad attitude trying to mask something more going on underneath. AURAL ☆ Here is an example! Elena's voice is a bit of a low rasp with a General American accent. (Somehow. Despite living in Virginia her whole life.) Her voice tends to have a lot of emotion behind it most of the time, so it's easy to say that Elena's a bit of an emphatic speaker. OLFACTORY ☆ Elena has a warm, floral scent (violet, jasmine, iris, vanilla, plum, lilac, etc.). MENTAL ☆ Being a vampire means that Elena does have some mental defenses. When she's consumed human blood rather than animal blood, it's stronger. It would still take her some time to recognize someone is crawling around in her head though as she's by no means highly experienced in that area. Elena's mind is not particularly at war with itself, but she does keep her anxieties and survivor's guilt from reaching the surface so that she can continue functioning. MEDICAL ☆ Elena's body functions like a normal human's with the exception of her abilities and weaknesses as a vampire. Elena's blood has the capacity to heal other humans, or turn them into vampires if they die with her blood in their system. It takes approximately 24hrs for blood to work its way out. MAGICAL ☆ In canon, witches can touch vampires and sense what they are. So, similarly, magically-inclined folks might be able to detect that she's undead and/or a vampire. It's possible that they may be able to detect/undo any mind compulsions she enacts against others. ABILITIES ☆ As a vampire, Elena can be killed through prolonged exposure to sunlight/fire, decapitation, heart removal, or wood through the heart. She is also weakened by vervain. Elena has super strength, speed, agility, and senses, and possesses accelerated healing. She can compel and walk in dreams when it comes to humans.

PHYSICAL AFFECTION ☆ This is fine if Elena is close to your character. She's known to give hugs when people are upset after all. When Elena doesn't know the person very well, she'll awkwardly tolerate the contact, but will likely try to politely separate as soon as possible. ROMANCE ☆ Elena is not one of those casual relationships kind of gals. She tends to go in deep with people once she's made that decision to be with them. If that's something you're interested in, let me know. Oh, and I know the show is The Heteronormativity Diaries, but I don't play like that. So don't feel shy if you have someone who is not a cishet male. PHYSICAL VIOLENCE ☆ I'm open to it! Elena has some combat training and her abilities may give her an edge over others, but unless the situation is dire, she'll hold back from going all out, honestly. That being said, if you want significant injuries on either side, talk to me about it first!

TELEPATHY & MENTAL CONTACT ☆ Elena will be understandably perturbed by hearing someone's voice suddenly in her mind. If it's anything more invasive than that, please check with me first, but I'm open to it. PSYCHOLOGICAL VIOLENCE ☆ I'm certainly open to it! Just get in touch with me so we can hash out the details. DEBATE ☆ Absolutely. Elena has a lot of very Strong Opinions. DEATH ☆ Please contact me in advance if this is something you wish to pursue. I'm certainly not opposed to it! OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS ☆ Elena gets easily frustrated when people try to tell her what to do/take away her ability to choose for herself. In general, as long as you appropriately content warn for anything else that may be triggering, I am alright.
