what's the worst that could happen?

[ It's a GREAT idea. To try. And possibly horribly fail at. Or not -- they're capable people! So, who hasn't been out shopping for more than the basics in food? This aunt right here. ]

vanilla would probably be easiest to start with. you know the supplies they have here better than me. think they've got vanilla extract? not holding out for the real deal [ Vanilla bean, but maybe she's wrong! ]

if there isn't any in the shops, i don't think holly would mind me borrowing some from the bakery.

[Elena occasionally goes to the shops for the sake of appearances, but heck if she knows if something like that's available right now.]

[ But of course. Why would Elena need to? Jenna's firmly settled in her very human impressions of the people she cares about, even if they're slowly evolving to match the fact that, yes, Elena and Alaric are actual, for real, living (living undead?) and walking around vampires. ]

OH okay! Nice of her. I think we have almost everything else here. That I can think of putting in there to freeze, anyway. Except cream. I can go for a walk to pick some up, check for the vanilla?

oh! and...chocolate. syrup? [ For the ice cream they will totes not fail at making. ]

we'll go all out! or, as much as we can :) thankfully, I actually know how to make whipped cream and everything. [ Not that it's that difficult, but can you hear how proud of herself she is? ]
